A Message from Me to You
Hi, I'm Doctor Meghan Elkink, and I've been successfully running and setting up Micro Practices for a decade and a half.
I’m a family doctor in Alberta and the co-founder of Sage Micro Practice Macro Solutions.
Let me tell you my story. As a plucky 29 year old brand new doctor, I hated going to work. I felt like I was in a rat race – fast appointments, no time to think or connect with patients, and being forced into the classic ‘one problem per visit’ rule.
I left work exhausted every day because of the rushed pace and lack of connection. The paperwork burden was huge and I never felt like I had a handle on what was happening in my own practice. Then I discovered a better style of practice, the Micro Practice, and I wouldn’t go back to a traditional clinic set up for anything.
You can do both:
provide great patient care AND have a happy personal life.
ABOUT SAGE
Sage is a team of siblings who are passionate about good medicine. We feel compelled to ‘spread the word’ about the Micro Practice model. We realize that most practitioners have no idea where to start when it comes to setting up a practice, or implementing new efficiencies.
That is where we come in! We have set up solo and multi-practioner clinics, both from scratch and within pre-existing spaces. We innately understand the technological, administrative, and physical requirements to not only run a practice, but to help you excel within the Micro Practice model.

Meet Our Team
Dr. Meghan Elkink
FOUNDER
First and foremost a family doctor with a decade and a half of experience in Micro Practice start-ups and running her own Micro Practice clinic.
She consults for the the CPSA to help medical clinics meet standards of practice through excellent processes.
Claim to fame – she opened the first Micro Practice in Alberta in 2009.
Challis Elkink
CLINIC CONSULTANT
Passionate about improving the practitioner-patient relationship!
She is practiced in setting up medical offices, from selecting a physical location, getting the best deals on loans and accounts, research, and administrative duties.
Challis has a Bachelor of Commerce with a major marketing and sales experience.
Tyler Elkink
TECH WIZ
Technology simply bows down to our tech wiz!
Experienced in designing technological work processes and implementing industry-leading software in medical offices.
Tyler has his Bachelor of Science – Computer Information Systems and over a decade of database development experience.
